
Since its opening in 1984, the Minetta Lane Theater has been one of the most storied and treasured venues in off-Broadway.
From its first premiere production– the raucous musical comedy Three Guys Naked From the Waist Down, starring a young Scott Bakula– the Minetta Lane Theater has paired some of the most acclaimed artists of their generations with some of the most important works of the past and present. Currently, the Minetta Lane Theater is the home of Audible Theater, which produces high-quality limited-run productions, to be recorded and distributed on the Audible platform. Recent productions include Harry Clarke, starring Billy Crudup; The Fever; written by Wallace Shawn and starring Lili Taylor, a revival of O’Neill’s Long Days’ Journey Into Night helmed by Robert O’Hara; and concerts featuring popular performers such as Patti Smith, Eva Nobleazada, Tituss Burgess, and Jane Krakowski.
